Branding FAQs

What's the difference between a logo and visual identity?

A logo is a graphic image, motif or typographic element that identifies your business or brand. A visual identity usually incorporates a logo or typographic motif but also includes image style, a colour palette, fonts and supporting design elements. All of these combine to make up your identity and become your visual language.

Why do you create logos in black and white?

We present our logos in black and white to begin with. Then, once we’ve rolled out the rest of your branding and have a good idea of what your colour palette, image direction, and overall branding will look like, we can make an informed decision as to what colours we feel your logo will work best in.

How do design concepts differ from design revisions?

Design concepts translate to different design directions or different creative directions. Generally speaking, we will offer 3 – 5 different logo concepts for one brand.

Once you have narrowed down your choice to one or two concepts from those that have been presented, we then fine tune your choice. These are referred to as design revisions and involve changes to shape, font, and proportions of the logo, but typically don’t involve changing the concept of the logo itself.

What constitutes a round of revisions?

Within the scope of logo design, a round of revisions refers to the action of us interpreting your feedback and incorporating it to create a revised concept which is then presented to you. To make the most of your round, please be sure to compile all of your feedback into one concise message. This way, we will be able to ensure we incorporate all elements of your feedback into the next set of revisions and ensure you don’t waste a design round unnecessarily.

Website FAQs

What is a responsive website?

A responsive website is designed to automatically adjust when viewed on a desktop, a tablet or a smartphone. Having a website that is easily viewed on mobile devices means that you give far greater access to your online content to your viewer. Having your website designed as a responsive site is now essential as more people go mobile.

Do you need all of my content before you get started?

Preferably yes. The content-first approach to building a website is the best one. Web content should be really persuasive and good content and copy will make for more and better engagement than good design ever can. Having your content also helps us to consider other aspects such as layout and navigation. The type and amount of copy you provide, the number of images and even the orientation of the photos will have an impact on the design we produce.

I don't know what to say! Can you write my content for me?

We most certainly can. Remember words trump design in terms of persuasiveness every time and content should be conversion focused. In order to attract more visitors to your site, its important that you have good content which will not only showcases your business but can be used as a tool for search engines to rank your website by applying your keywords and keyword phrases where possible.

Our copywriters can edit your existing content or create new content from scratch to ensure your website not only looks great but reads well and ranks highly in online search engine results.

Can you host my website too?

Yes, we offer hosting as a service which provides the resources to manage data storage and transfer for your website and includes emails. While, you are not obliged to host your website with us, we usually recommend it as it simplifies the process. You can use another provider however we will have to ensure that they have the right technical setup and requirements for your site and you will also have to supply us with all necessary logins and permissions which can be cumbersome.

What sort of ongoing support do you provide?

We provide phone support during business hours and email assistance. Our website maintenance packages are included in our terms of service and will include full technical support and training when required. This means that you are guaranteed a prompt response to all your queries or requests.

If you have any further questions, please contact us.
